So, we've been doing a little BLW (my husband is still leery about certain foods but is ok with giving non-pureed versions of typical baby foods). Anyway, our son does fine with hand to mouth, gnawing on stuff, etc. He clearly doesn't eat a lot of it but it's been good practice. Anyway, he's teething (has 2 bottom ones already) and my mom recommended teething biscuits. Anyway, evidently they don't actually exist in the form she thinks they do these days. The only biscuits I can find that imply they're for teething (as opposed to crackers that will disintegrate instantly when he tries to eat them) say specifically for 12months+. So what do I do? Do I give him the 12+ because it probably says that because they assume I'm feeding purees until then or is there another reason? Can I make my own teething biscuits?
Re: BLW - teething biscuits
it isn't pureBLW, but early on, we did frozen peach slices in one of those mesh feeders in place of biscuits.
i've heard frozen bagels too, but mdjune's frozen waffles sound better to me
