Bra question: opinions please

What are your opinions on bra straps showing?  Not a big deal or trashy?

I have a sundress that has thick straps.  My bra strap could fit under them but the way the dress is cut my bra strap ends up showing instead on staying under the dress straps.  It drives me crazy because I don't like my bra to show. 

I also have a sundress where the bra shows a little under my arms (armpits).  No matter what bra I wear this happens.

Big deal? trashy looking?  I can't wear a strapless bra because it is uncomfortable and never stays up.

Opnions please.

NBD. But if it bothers you, use a little double sided tape to stick your bra strap to the dress straps.

Depends on the circumstances.  Overall no big deal.  But there are probably situations where it would be frowned upon.

If your bra aomewhat matches the dresses, no big deal.  If you are wearing a black bra under a white dress, trashy.  Unless they are fromal dresses, then it just always looks bad.

I should specify that he dress is a mixture of dark colors, black, blue dark pink...so I wear black bra.

The other one is a hot pick and I wear a beige/flesh colored bra.

My dh always says that I am the only one noticing, but the black bra dress, the bra straps really stick out....that is why I wanted opinions.

I personally hate when people's bra straps show. If you get the right size and a good bra a strapless can work for any size. Go get yourself a good strapless bra...it is worth the investment! My fav is Victoria Secrets (5 way bra) I think it is called where the straps are detachable and it has underwires and there is no picking it up all day.

Now that I am pregnant and it is summer, I feel like my bra straps show all the time. Wearing a strapless is too uncomfortable most of the time so I just deal with my straps showing under tank tops and sun dresses. If I was going somewhere nice I would wear a strapless though.

I have a white supportive sports bra that I wear with most of my tanktops. The straps of it are thin and cotton and basically look like a layering tee, which looks much better than regular straps imo.

Trashy. They sell bras with clear plastic straps and while not always the most comfy thing, a great alternative it you don't do strapless/.

It bothers me when mine show too. I usually try to match the bra to the dress like you said so that it kind of minimizes the appearance of the bra.

I think I am going to go out and find a strapless that I like.  I just have never had luck finding one that stays up. But I hate having bra straps show.

Would using one of these clips work?  If you think it would and you don't have time to go out and buy one just use a paperclip.

Trashy.  Always trashy.  If I can see your bra I'm judging you, and that includes those clear ones.  Just because they're clear doesn't mean I can't see them.  What if you wore a tank top under the dress, something like a white men's undershit with thicker straps?  I think Old Navy sells them in a variety of colors so you could get one that coordinates.  The layered look would be more casual, but that shouldn't matter if it's a sun dress.

I do this. I have about 10-12 tanks in different colors.
