Anyone having any tailbone pain? I just have it when I sit at my desk.

When I get up it feels better.

ohh i had this at about 5 weeks it lasted till about week 7.. it was so bad the dr gave me extra strength tylonol.. not sure if it was related to the pregnancy or not but it was bad.. I was told your ligaments will losen which will cause pain, I guess some people just get it earlier than others...

I had tailbone pain 3 months ago, and on and off every now and then since. I ahad bought a new car, an SUV, so I thought maybe it was due to the weight of a bigger car/new seat. It was the most awful pain, and it shoots up your back when you readjust or get up from sitting. I had heating pads, took motrin...nothing seemed to help ease the pain. Just took a little over a month for it to die down on its own.

YES!  I actually posted about this a few weeks ago and had no responses.  I called the dr who was on call over this past weekend, it was sooo bad I could barely take a step with my left foot, the pressure or something was terrible.  The dr. actually gave me quite a scare, he said he was really nervous for me going through this at 11 weeks.  He said it was going to be a long pregnancy for me...

Well, I read a bit online, also was nervous reading all the things that were said by other women.  Just google it if you want more details.

 But... yesterday, I went into the Dr. about it, my regular OB is out of town this week so I saw someone else.  He was very nice and explained what he thought was going on, he said he was not worried in the least bit. (wheew!)  He said that during the first trimester your uterus is trying to move itself from your pelvic area upwards into you abdominal area - it can take a few weeks for it to get where it needs to be and some women experience sharp pain in their tailbone during the process.  I am going to trust what he has told me, if anything further happens I will just go back in.
