Hi everyone and a belated welcome to all the new ladies who have joined the board!! 

I tried to post a couple days ago to apologize for missing the check in the last two weeks, but I keep getting an error while Bumping and my post never saved.  I had a work trip the week after the 4th of July in which I was sitting in a conf room with 12 other people staring at my laptop screen, so no opportunity to get on the Bump, and the work days lasted till 1 am each night, literally.  Needless to say it was a tiring trip.  I returned home that Thursday evening to pack up and then we left for vacation in Myrtle Beach the next day and no internet there, so that is why I have been MIA for a while.  Fortunately, my travel is now done until after the baby arrives so I should not have any more absences!!

Vacation was fun; DD absolutely loved the beach and the ocean, and it was great to see her having such a good time.  Now that we are home she is going through some sort of clingy phase AND has suddenly learned to escape her crib which she was doing at all hours of the day and night, so we have acccelerated our plan to transition her to a big girl bed.  Furniture is being delivered tomorrow but we are going to get the room painted and decorated before moving her in; meanwhile, she is sleeping on her crib mattress on the floor in her current room.  Last night was the first night but she was so tired from missing naps and lack of sleep at night due to getting out of bed and wandering to our room she fell asleep during our bedtime routine so it was easy to put her to bed and she stayed there.  We will see how today's naptime and bedtime go.  I admit, it has been really stressing me out, having visions of a newborn waking up every 90 min to eat and a toddler wandering into my room during those precious moments while I try to get some sleep!

Anyway, baby #2 is doing well, DH and I are starting to get serious about names, and I'm beginning to feel anxious about getting prepared for this new arrival.  Tomorrow we have an appt with an alternate OB in my doctor's office just to meet some of the others who may be on call when I go into labor.

ScoobyM, we moved our son to a toddler bed when he was 2 also. Now he regularly comes to our bedroom to continue sleeping in our bed, usually early in the morning. We don't have the heart to pick him up and carry him back into his bedroom. I am also wondering about the 4 of us sleeping in the same room when this baby comes (in a 5 bdr house we have just bought).

Had my regular OB apt Tuesday, everything's on target. Also signed up for cord blood banking with Viacord.

Still hanging in there with this kid thumping and bumping along with me.

Had an OB appointment today where my OB brought up induction. I must have made a funny face because he said we would discuss it at 39 weeks and it would be up to me to decide if I wanted to induce or wait a little more. Pitocin and I are not on good terms so even though I'm anxious to meet this little girl, I'm willing to wait just a little bit beyond my due date if necessary.

ScoobyM - we moved DD to a bed after vacation too. She was terrfied of the new surroundings during vacation and ended up in the king bed with us more often than not. Vacation wasn't very relaxing this way, for sure. The bed transition took a couple weeks, but she loves it and tells everyone about her big girl bed.

I had my weekly appointment earlier today, and everything looks good with both of the girls. My glucose numbers have been really good, thank goodness. I go back next Wednesday and see my regular OB, and then the following week, we have another Growth Scan and a regular appointment. Since the doctor didn't put me out of work, I put my 2 weeks notice in at my job in the event that I decide to go back, I will be able to be rehired. I can hardly wait til August 6th.

Ooo.. I want to hear more positive stories about transitioning to big kid beds. We're attempting this this weekend with DS. My fingers are crossed that it isn't too, too difficult. Everything is fine with baby #2-- growing right on target-- although still middle nameless. We have a boy and girl name figured out, bur are having trouble with middle names. Our minds and time have been totally preoccupied with DS though. We finally got a diagnosis of Celiac Disease for DS and he's been on a gluten free diet for 3 weeks now. The change is AMAZING!!! And, we are so thrilled. He doesn't stop eating now and put on 1.5lbs in 2 weeks. He still has a way to go, but he's back on the weight chart and he looks healthy. And most importantly, he is happy again. He acts like a kid and nothing makes me happier! So, we'll get this diet squared away and he should be good by the time his new sibling arrives in a few months. We're still ruling out a few other health issues for DS and dealing with some vitamin deficiencies, but I'm optimistic that everything is related to Celiac and given some time and a strict gluten-free diet, he should be 100% AOK.

HI all!

Had a visit last Friday and both boys were doing very well, measuring at almost the same, 3.5 & 3.6lbs each.  they are currently both head down and are kicking my butt! LOL

My delivery has been moved up to 09/15 (via c-section) if they don't decide to come out any earlier....we'll see!  but I do hope they cook as long as they can.  I would hate for either to be in the NICU.

Had a couple of good visits...

Monday - Peri, placenta is no longer an obstacle!  Baby Boy is weighing in @ an estimated 7lbs 4 oz.

Today - OB had last NST baby is great, I am beginning to dilate.  Found out OB is on vacation starting Sat.  Yuck!  He'll be back on 8/2 which is good as we both want this little one to wait until then to come out & play.  He said baby should be able to sit tight until then. I see a different OB next week for a check up.

Tomorrow is my last day @ work & my work shower.  I am looking forward to it!

Missed you scooby!  Glad everything is OK.

everything is good here!  dh is almost done with dd's new room, so we will be moving her in there hopefully this weekend or next.  i'm anxious and excited for her to go in there as well.  she was great during vacation and stayed in her bed the whole time.  she doesn't get out of her toddler bed right now either, so i'm hopeful her transition will be smooth. then i can get to preparing the baby's room.

Hi all, I haven't been here in a while.  I started a new job and there is no time to bump   We have a lot going on...besides the new job, which I LOVE!  We're moving!  I think we must be crazy....lol

We're closing on our new home next Friday and I am SO excited.  Our new house is 2 times the size of our current home and we will finally have space (we live in about 1000 sq feet now).  I have picked paint colors for DD's room and our bedroom but since we're team green we're going to wait on decorating the baby's room.  I have decided I want to order DD new furniture (still a crib) in white as I always wanted a little girl to have white furniture.  So, the new baby will get DD's current furniture.  We haven't ordered it yet, haven't even decided what we want yet so DD will still be in her old furniture for now.  We're going to keep her in a crib though...none of us are ready for her to transition, but we will get another lifetime crib so we'll get good use out of it. 

Anyway, the new baby is doing well, I had an appt. on Tuesday with a surprise ultrasound, the baby looks great and measures about 1 lb 5 ounces.  I'm about 23 weeks and every time I think about how far along I am I can't believe how fast this is going.  It's helping that I'm distracted with my new job and the move I'm sure.

I am being induced on 12/12-It's a boy!!  Just found out today. I am 37 and this is my first baby.
