Traveling while PTing

We will be going on a road trip today with DD and I am wondering if I should put her in a pull-up just in case.  She has been doing really well with the potty training, but we haven't been on a long road trip since she started.  Normally, when we go out, I put her in a pull-up just in case, and she still tells me when she needs to go, so I don't think it will cause any regression by her being in a pull-up, I am just trying to avoid any accidents in the car seat.  We will be taking a travel potty and making several stops as well.

 What would you do?

I bought tha piddle pad thing to put in the car seat on case she pees. I also did the pull up thing but started to stop lol I bring along her potty in the car. Have her go pee before you leave and then stop during the trip to put her on the potty or when she tells you. Dd hasn't told me yet when in the car so the pad came in handy. Have a great trip : )

We bought 2 Piddle Pads (for when one is in the wash) to protect the carseat so would bring both. I also have several waterproof lap pads that I use for DS on the changing table and would bring one or two of those as well just in case. Those are all easy/compact things to bring but could provide you lots of peace of mind.

I'd also, since you have a girl, put her in a dress and when you put her in the carseat, just gather the dress around her waist instead of having her sit on it. If she pees, you won't have to change the dress.

My DD is only a week into PTing but so far she won't pee when I expressley need her to, she'll only go if she has to but has told us when that is every time so I don't know if extra pee stops are needed or not for your DD. My luck she'd say 'no' when wer'e at a rest stop and then 5mins after we're back on the road, she'd say "potty?". lol

I find that once she tells us she has to go she can hold it quite awhile until we get home or somewhere reasonable to pull over. GL!!

We took a 5 hour road trip last weekend (1 week into potty training).  On the way down we stopped 3 times for DS to pee.  We just brought his baby bjorn potty and let him pee in it in the car.  I rinsed with bottle from a bottle of water.  Then on the way back 4 days later we only needed to stop 2 times.  We did the same thing.  If you don't think the pull up will cause her to regress then do what you are comfortable with.  We haven't used any diapers/pull ups since we started 2 weeks ago today.  I actually just sold all diapers on craigslist today for $50 (YAY!!!!).  Going into the road trip I knew it would take longer but that is the price we pay for potty training.
