My doc gave me the choice of quitting my Prometrium/Endometrin at 12 weeks, but said optimum would be 13 weeks. Seriously, do I REALLY need to stay on it that long?
It's making me absolutely freaking miserable and I'm wondering if I'll starting feeling less nauseous if I stop taking it. Or should I just grin and bear it citing that I would beat myself up if anything were to happen to the babies?

Re: How long were you on Prog?
I stopped all progesterone support at 7-8 weeks. My levels were monitored and stayed over 70 so my RE didn't think it was necessary.
They did put me back on progesterone when I lost the twins - so I have no clue if staying on it longer could have prevented my loss - but I'm thinking not since TTTS was the official diagnosis that cause fetal demise.
I was on PIO till 12 weeks. Normally my RE does PIO till 8 weeks but I had bleeding and he wanted me to stay on longer.
As much as I hated it and complained a fair amount, if I had done less then what the dr. said and something happened I would never forgive myself.
I know it sucks but you've come this far, a little more will hopefully be worth it in the end
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
I was told I could taper off at 11 weeks (endometrin)... Seems like there is quite a range. My RE never checked levels after 5 weeks (maybe he would have if he were concerned?)
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
