Avery?

Do you automatically think of a girl?  I think it is traditionally a boy name, but now it's unisex and girls named Avery have jumped hugely in popularity. 

Would it be weird to you to see a baby boy/toddler named Avery?

Avery is traditionally a boy's name.  I think of the brother from Charlotte's Web when I hear it.

I think it would be strange to use it for a boy now though, seeing as it's so popular for a girl.  (BTW, I prefer it as a boy's name)

I grew up with a girl Avery who is nearly 30 now. I think she's the only Avery I know so I definitely think girl.

I have a friend who just had a boy named Avery.  I LOVE the name, but I think "girl" when I hear it.

I think girl, but I definitely wouldn't side-eye a parent for naming a boy Avery.

I think girl, even though it's traditionally a boy's name.  I have a friend who named her son Emerson.  It's traditionally a boy's name, but I've seen so many baby girls on these boards with that name.  I will always think of it as a boy's name.  My whole point of that (lol) was that if you love the name Avery for a boy, then go for it!

I really like that name. I have had boy students named Avery, and girl students named Avery. To me, it fits a boy or girl. Avery was on my list of boy names and girl names, I really like it.

Use this https://www.ssa.gov/cgi-bin/babyname.cgi link and you'll see it's now more used for girls which is why more people may associate it as female. My thoughts are that it goes both ways. I know a teenage boy named Avery.

I think boy, honestly. But I think so many people associate it with girls that its become  more of a girls name, unfortunately.

I had a boy student named Avery a few years ago in class. But right after him came a girl Avery! I like it for both boys and girls.
