I did. My doctor was great about it, but the hospital where she delivers at changed their policy and banned VBAC's when I was 28 weeks along. In order to get around their policy I had to show up at the hospital almost ready to deliver...if I had still had 10 hours of labor left when I got there I would have been forced to have a c-section. That part was really stressful, but definitely shouldn't be an issue for you. The crazy part is if I had gone into labor 4 days later she would have had privileges at another hospital that allows VBACs. My doctor had me take evening primrose oil and raspberry leaf tea starting at 35 and 36 weeks. She said she really sees a difference with the women who do this having an easier time and being successful with their VBAC. My water broke at 1:30am, contractions started about an hour later, and LO was born at 11:58am. I was at 38w5d. I had some tearing and 4 stitches. I didn't have an epidural, and while the pain was crazy I would rather have the 5 hours of pain I had before the baby than the weeks of pain after a c-section.

Thank you for sharing your story. I would like to try for a VBAC when we have #2, so I enjoy hearing success stories.
