I had posted yesterday about having a lot of bleeding. I went in for an US yesterday and there was a subcorionic hematoma seen at the top of the sac measuring about 2cm. My RE put me on bedrest for a week to help stop the bleeding and decrease the chance of miscarriage. Has anyone ever had this? If so, how long were you on bedrest for?

Re: Subcorionic Hematoma
i bled for 3 weeks with my SCH (diagnosed at 11w6d) and wasn't on bedrest at all.
I was on pelvic rest and out of work for those 3 weeks, and technically still am on pelvic rest, since we're not getting the clearance for any sort of sexual activity unless my u/s comes back clean tomorrow.

I had one that was found at 6w and was there until about 14w. My RE put me on bedrest but when I was released to my peri (was seeing a peri for other reasons) she took me off of it. I was probably on bedrest for about a month with my RE.
After the initial bleeding, which was alot, I spotted brown for a long time. It was miserable and I worried all of the time. GL!!
what is the difference between pelvic rest and bedrest?
Pelvic rest just means no sex, orgasm, etc.
yup, had it. do not google like I did. Most go away on their own. I forget what size mine was but it was small. It went away at 11wks - diagnosed at 7wks. I had two bleeding episodes - pink and red - with gushes.
On those bleeding days, I stayed home, drank water and didn't do a damn thing. I sometimes work from home and I didn't even do that.
I had one at 11 weeks that was HUGE. Looked like it was going to eat the baby. I bled twice in a week, and then spotted for a full month. It didn't fully resolve until 26 weeks. I also had an abnormal placental resistance scan at that point that kept me with the peri until 35 weeks and had me getting NSTs every week from 30 weeks on.
I was on modified bedrest (essentially, stay off your feet, but I could have worked if I had a desk job) pretty much the whole time I was bleeding and spotting, and on pelvic rest up until the very end of my pregnancy.
