Due date confussion

I went to see my regular family dr. yesterday, he wanted to see me since I can't get into my OB till August 5th and I haven't had a check up in awhile.

Before I went to the Dr. I had entered in my LMP and my usual cycle length of 33 days online in several places I got a due date of 3-25-2011, but the dr. told me it was 4-19-2011. Do you think he did the calculations wrong?

He didn't even ask me my usual cycle length. When I entered the 4-19-2011 due date into my bump profile it said I was only 1 week pregnant. And I think I am having way to many symptoms for that. WDYT?

You can't know that you're 1 week pregnant... because you aren't pregnant at 1 week. Most women don't get pregnant until the end of week 2/ beginning of week 3.

When you have your first u/s, they will measure and tell you for sure.

Yeah that doesn't seem right.  I don't have my first appointment until Aug 5th as well but my online calculations say 3/20/2011 and my LMP was 6/13. I guess I'll see what the Dr. says when I go in.

Hey! We're really close in our days! My LMP was 6-12, and my online calculations say 3-25. How long are your cycles usually? *Edit* mine are usually 33 days

When I use a typical 28 day cycle with O on day 14, it puts you at 3/19.  Maybe they misspoke the month?  I would call and ask how they got that date - for my OB is makes a difference what happens at each appointment!  GL!

I think your regular doctor got your date wrong. Just don't pay it any attention until you go to your OB and get the correct date.

If they measured my DD by my LMP I would be due in february but I DO NOT have a normal 28 day cycle so it doens't apply. I don't even ovulate until around day 28-29.....hope this helps

You should be around 4 weeks-5 weeks

I think she said her normal cycle is 33 days so your math as the typical 28 day cycle wouldn't work for her since she wouldn't ovulate on day 14. So her due date would be around 3/25. When your cycle is long 32-45 days you tend to count 14 days from the day of your next period. So if you do May 23rd (which was my last period) to the day I was supposed to start (July 3) that would put me Ovulating on day 28...14 days before I started my next cycle.
