Working in HR I've come across several names that are interesting, but
never met them in person. I worked for a resort company that had
locations across the US. My favorite was Jolly Pickle. He was in his 60s and had been there forever. We also had a Crystal Ball. One guy named his kid Major and their last name was Powell. Major Powell. Um.....

Thats a winner. Clearly if you get too "creative" you end up paying for the consequences. And you know the poor girl will get feed up and change her name ASAP.
You can't expect people to incorporate a - into a name when they are saying it. It just doesnt register.
I havent really come across of super odd names. At least not of people I've meet in person. But my mom teaches and my aunt subs (in her semi-retired state) and they've mentioned some good ones!
Also, (and this isn't technically a weird name - but what it ends up sounding like - well, someone didn't think it through) I went to school with a girl named Virginia Toll (not how the name was spelled, but how it was pronounced). She went by Ginny. Ginny Toll. Say it five times fast and tell me what you think you're saying.
My BFF in HS mom worked with a guy named Harry Butts. I met him once and I couldn't stop giggling. Immature I know...It still makes me giggle. Harry Butts bwahahahahaha
