Is it crazy to have PT anxiety?

Hi, my name is Samsmom, and I have serious PT anxiety. 

We got up last weekend intending to start the 3 day PT, and as soon as we took off Sam's diaper, he wanted it back on and refused to use the potty.  He had been tearing off diapers and begging to use the potty for 6 weeks prior to this!

I don't get it.  I thought he would love the idea of running around with his bare bottom flapping in the wind.  Anytime I take his diaper off now, he wants it back on immediately.  

It's time for this child to be out of diapers and it's time for us to move forward with PTing.  He's telling us when he pees and poops in his diaper; he knows Mommy and Daddy do it in the potty. 

Any thoughts, ladies?
