Anybody have an IKEA changing table? (LIPs)

I'm thinking about getting a changing table for downstairs and don't want to spend much money on it.  IKEA has some inexpensive ones and I plan to go there in the next few weeks, but I'm curious if it's even worth my time.

Anybody have one or seen one in person?  Are they sturdy?  Any recs?

These are the ones I'm considering.

  • I am no help on the IKEA tables, but as an alternative, I got our changing table off craigslist for $40.

ETA - Ours looks just like the first link.  And I loooove it.  But I wish that it had doors over the shelves because it gets kind of messy down there.

  • I would recommend the first over the second. I have seen it and it looks fine. I just used a dresser with a changing pad on top.

  • Ashley - I hadn't thought about craigslist - I'll check it out.  Thanks!

Lib - What you said is basically what I have in her room.  I wish I had something like that downstairs - I would definitely do that!  And I like the first one better too mostly because it has shelves.

  • i used to work at IKEA many moons ago. (like 10 years ago). I can tell from the pic  that second one will not be as sturdy as one would hope. I'm sure its still safe, but... I think the first one will be a better bet. Plus the shelves seem useful.
