Success after IF

Pain question and complaining.

**First, I am more than thrilled that we are expecting again, and am in no way yatching about being pregnant***

I am in pain All. The. Time. My hips, pelvis, legs and lower abdomen hurts. like more than just aches. At times it is like a 6 on a scale of 1-10. I am beside myself. I do have issues with my pubic bones, but this is beyond. It hurts to be active, and hurts to be still.

Is this just because I have had little time between? Could it be from having my appendix out? Is it normal, and I am a wuss? Call the OB? I am miserable. I take tylenol like 2-3 times a day at times, and that barely scratches it.

Advice, sympathy!? STFU?

Re: Pain question and complaining.

  • No advice but I do hope you feel better soon!  I have some hip issues I was born with.  Even being off work this summer (I'm a teacher) I have times when my back hurts so bad I can barely walk.  It was worse at the end of the school year so I can only imagine what it'll be like in August when I go back.  It flared up within about 8 weeks of pregnancy!  :(

    Feel better soon!

  • I'd call the OB.  There's uncomfortable, and then there's pain. While there's unlikely anything wrong with the baby, she could give you a referral to a chiropractor or discuss other pain management techniques.
  • Ditto what Ava said.  Hope you can get some answers and some relief!

  • That sounds awful! I agree that you should call your OB because she might be able to help you find some relief.  Good luck!

  • That sounds painful. I agree about calling the OB even though the baby is probably fine, maybe they can give you some relief. I Hope you feel better soon.

  • Ditto prior posters. Are you seeing a PT? Or an osteopath/chiropractor? Some manual therapy could help you a ton. Also, if you want more support, you can always join the Pelvic Instability Network of Scotland. They have a message board and there's a bunch of people from the US on there. Sorry you are in so much pain!

  • I am so sorry. Definetly bring it up to your OB. I have had terrible hip, leg, back, feet....okay body pain with this one. I'm not sure if because it's the second one or because you have one that your chasing after all the time and your body doesn't get to rest, but I hear you with the pain. The worst is at night time. I can't get comfortable in bed. I feel like all the weight of my body is crushing my hips. I am constantly flipping from side to side. It feels like my entire body just got the ultimate beat down. I hope your's get better. Sorry if I didn't help you.
