Like pp said, betas are very poor predictors of multiples. With both of my pregnancies, I was carrying twins initially, but my early betas were well within average limits for singleton pregnancies.
Thank you both for your answers! On what days past ovulation were your betas taken?
Jill, thank you! this our first after TTC for a while so we are very excited and cautious! Just praying it sticks! I have read that the normal range for 4 weeks pregnant is up to 476, and mine was 965 so thats what led me to believe it may be multiples. Also, we had two mature follicles at the point of IUI. : )
My first beta was 14dp5dt (19dpo) with dd was 178 and it was a singleton. My beta with this pg at 14dt5dt (19dpo) was 2,636 and it's also a singleton. Like the pp said betas are not a good judge of multiples.

My betas were quadrupling every 48 hours and I was freaking out about multiples and or/ a molar pregnancy. It turned out, everything is fine and there is just one baby in there. I'm now 26 weeks. Try not to worry too much - your numbers sound strong!
okay good. That is comforting to know! I am definitately staying positive, but still trying to stay realistic just in case. I will feel alot better after that first ultrasound on August 2nd!
Re: Beta too High?
Those are nice numbers.
Only an u/s will tell you if it's multiples.
Those are strong betas! Congrats!

Every lab measures beta numbers differently, so you really can't compare number on the internet.
What matters most is a steady progression upward, and you sure do have that! Until an US, you won't really know what's going on.
Congrats!

certainly not TOO high at all - and betas really mean nothing re: twins... my twin and singleton betas were very similar.
congrats!
