am I wrong?

DH is going to do yard work for a man today and asked if I wanted him to take DD to his aunts house so his mom could watch her. I said no and he got mad. But, I feel like I have good reasons. His aunt is having a yard sale all day which would mean that DD would either be outside in the heat or inside with a 3 year old who doesn't know the word "no". That child is constantly grabbing DD and pulling her head and arms. And when we tell her "no" or "gentle" she just looks at us like we're crazy then throws a fit. DD isn't even a month old yet. How on earth could he think I'd want her out there all day? But, maybe I'm wrong. I don't know.

Re: am I wrong?

  • I don't think you are wrong at all!! It's a mom's instinct and discretion as to what she allows baby to be a part of or doing... just explain to him calmly about the heat and your concern about the three year old and maybe just maybe he'll see your point...

  • Thanks! I talked to him about it and he came to his senses after being out in the heat today. And then he realized how crazy it would be for DD to be out in it. Yay Smile

  • You were on the money. Glad he came around to see it your way.
