Babysitters

If we were ever to find one in this area it would be a miracle b/c we know no one.  But, if it were to happen, how do you find one thats good with multiples?  Are they difficult to come by?

we are on the hunt for one - will let you know. so far we've put ads on care.com and on craigslist and have said specifically that we want someone with experience with multiples.

we are training ours.  Our neighbor is 12 - she comes over every week night to help me w/ baths because DH isn't home from work yet.  We pay her $2/day now.  I figure by the time she is 14 and they are almost 3 we will have a babysitter who is great with twins

She also comes over to play sometimes when she is bored

We have two options besides family. One is a woman in her 30s. At first she just came to help out when we were here. Then we started leaving them with her for an hour or two and now she is great with them. I figure it is no different than I was when they were born, except that she got eased into it and I didn't. A friend of the family has teenage daughters who are home-schooled and are 14 and 15 and have a 1 1/2 year old sister. So they've both had baby experience and there are two of them and they are homeschooled so they are available in the day if I need them (plus they are all around wholesome girls). I recognized that I have lucked out there. But you may want to check local community college or high schools for a teenager that you can teach.
