when should the fever go away?

Cooper's had a fever since Tuesday night.  I started antibiotics for an ear infection yesterday.  So he had one dose yesterday and one this morning.  He's supposed to have it 2x a day for a week.  Anyway.... when should the fever start going down?  Should I be concerned that he still has one?  ~101 ish..

    When J had an ear infection, antibiotics took the fever away around tbe 24 hr mark.

     He's not teething along with this, right? J always gets a fever with teeth coming in...

    I agree, both ear infections Max has had the fever went away about 24 hours after we started antibiotics, I wouldn't worry at this point.

    Yeah, I do usually look there for stuff, but it doesn't say anything about while you're on antibiotics...  hopefully this fever will stop this evening. 

     

    and Stacy - he's not teething that I know of, plus, his temp is over 101 without meds... that's too high for teething.  He should get some freaking teeth some day though.  He's 9 months with zero teeth!

    J routinely gets to 102 with just teeth. The ped says it isn't teeth but for every single tooth she gets at least a 102 fever. 

    And she was 10 months before she got a tooth!
