What size diaper for 10- or 11-month old boy?

Isaac is coming home soon, Lord willing, and we are very busy getting things ready. What size diapers does your 10- or 11-month-old boy wear? I know every baby is different, but I would love to know an average size-wise. 

At his 9-month checkup in late June, Isaac weighed 19.4 pounds. He is 10 months old already, and we think he will be here before he is 11 months old ... but we don't know for sure. )

Thanks in advance for your advice on the diaper sizes.

So exciting! Brady has been in size 3 diapers for a few months now. I'd say that's about where Isaac will be when he gets home to you. Goosebumps!

No advice, but YAY for home coming!   I would just look at the size ranges on the package and tape the receipt to the package in case you need to exchange them if they don't fit him.

I would think size 3. Jackson was in that size the longest. Yayy what precious news.

It also depends on his height. I've found that you really can't go by the weight on those packages.  Noah had his 9-month appt. today and he was 28.5 inches and 20 lbs., 2 ounces.  He's been in a size 4 for at least a month already and we just started putting him in size 5 at nights.  The size 3s were getting to be way too small on him. 

I'm so, so, so excited for you!  YAY!  And I really do love his name - Isaac is Noah's middle name. :-) 

ETA: Noah also has some big, ole' chunky thighs so that may also be our issue as far as a larger size diaper.

I would buy size 4.  That way if it is too big your not waisting $ and could save them. 

Wes is in a size 3 now and is 5 months old.  I would say he weighs about 16 pounds.  Nate is in a size 5 and he weighs 27 pounds.  So I think if you go with a 4 you will be safe.

 

Can't wait until I see the pics of you holding him in your arms.

Congrats- I am so excited for you!  I would say size 3's- I remember him being in those forever.  Just remember that what works for one baby may not work for the next so you may not want to stock up on too many of one brand.  That said, we are loving the Target brand and the Luvs.  Gavin is still in size 4's in both of these and he weighs about 27 lbs so I think 3 sounds right for 19 lbs.

When my baby boy was 10 months, he was wearing size 3. He was about 20 lbs. He is about 23/24 lbs now at 13 months and is wearing size 4. I would only get a couple boxes of 3's and mostly get 4's.

I would say a size 3.  Jax weighs about 22 lbs and has been in a size 3 for a long time...

Bailey has been in size 4 since 9 months when he was 23-22lbs I think. We've had great luck with the Target Up and Up size 4 too.

 And congrats! I hope your newest addition comes to yall soon!!!!

Yay!  That is such great news!  I am so excited for you!  I was also going to say around a size 3 or 4 for the diapers.

Yay Karen!!! That's awesome news! I would say buy size 3's. That's what size we buy. It does depend on his weight though. Derek's almost 20 lbs and we're in Pampers/Luvs and the size ranges are on the package.

we switched Elliot from size 3 to 4 at about 11 months as the previous post said i think i would get 4 just to be safe.

That is SOOOOO exciting.  Colton is 11 months and wears 4s. 

 

Also, I have too many summer clothes for Colton and they are the same size.  Please feel free to come over and raid his closet if you need too.

Congratulations Karen! This is such exciting news! Ellie Brooke is 19lbs and in size 4, but she has VERY juicy thighs! I can't wait to see Isaac in your arms!

So exciting!!! What wonderful news! Hayden wears a 4 and has for a while. He just turned 11 months and weighs about 20 lbs.

I would have said size 3 but I can see the point from other posters about size 4. I would use the most current weight and buy a small pack that matches those. My guess is you will probably have him weighed at the dr, shortly after he gets to you.
