maternity photos

I'm watching Bethenny Getting Married and she just did her maternity shoot.  Makes me want to do one.  This is my last pregnancy.   I feel like I should record it somehow.

Personally, I say do it.  When I was pregnant I really wasn't sure if I wanted to do maternity shots because I thought "where would I even display them?"  I am so glad I did, though, because it's fun to look back at those photos.  I do have a few of the shots on display in the nursery, but other than that I just go back and look at them every now and then.

Oh, and I'm sure you would get some really cute pics of Evie touching your baby belly - that would be adorable!

totally ditto jennifer!  I got them done with both pregnancies and with this third one when the time comes I'm thinking of doing the budoir ones!  *gasp*  I think since you've thought of it now you'll be sad if you don't.  but like jennifer I have one from finn pregnancy in the living room and two from riley in riley's room.  I've got one of finn touching the belly that still makes me melt.  do it!

Definitely do them!!! Even if you don't display (I have one in the twin's room)...you can do a sweet book for the baby and have the maternity photos at the beginning and then the newborn ones after that!

I am not a cute pregnant person so I could never do it, I would hate them. But you are a cute pregnant person, so I say go for it!

I say do it!!! I did them and will always treasure them. But I did mine with all my clothes on, but Bethenny's were gorgeous! )

This is one thing I did not do with either pregnancy and I sort of regret.  In fact I think there is only 1 or 2 pictures at all of me during my second pregnancy.  I just was so sick and never felt like myself while I was pregnant. 

I guess I am going to have to get knocked up again if I am going to do maternity photos!   If you can do them, without spending a fortune, I say go for it.

Exactly what Andrea said.  I have only one photo of me pregnant with Noah in which I actually look pregnant.  That's one too many for me. :-)  However, you're so stinkin' cute pregnant that you NEED to do them.

I agree, you should get them done.  I didn't do them with either of mine and deeply regret it.  

If and when I can convince dh for a third, I've promised myself I'll get them done.  If not maternity at least newborn photos, but I'll keep dreaming because dh isn't on board yet.

Do it!!  I did it with Caroline and I am so glad I did.  We just did more of a couple's shoot with emphasis on the belly.  I really liked Bethany's, but I don't think I could pull that off.

I have never done them with other pregnancies but since this is the last I like you think it needs to be documented. So I have already asked Jody to do this for me. I just want to have something you know......

Sounds like my dh. He asked me why we needed pictures taken while on vacation.

Having a D40 doesn't make you a professional photographer, lol!  My DH gives me grief about pro pics too, but I just do it and tell him to deal with it.  My SIL has never had my nephews pictures taken (he is almost 6 months old) and it irks the hell out of me and my mom.  She does take a million snapshots of him, but we want just ONE pro picture!
