Anyone have bad insomnia with Clomid?

I don't remember having it as a side effect when I used it a few years ago, but now I am having a super tough time falling asleep without the aid of about 2.5 mg of Ambien, but then I wake up at 5:15am and I am up for the day! Not too much fun when you are chasing around a 2 1/2 year old all day and are exhausted!

I didn't but I also took it right before bed at my RE's advice.  Clomid and I did not do well together. When I was on it, I felt like I think I would feel if I had postpartum depression. I was super tired and just napped when DD napped.  Hopefully the next few days speed by and you get your BFP this cycle!

I did, but only on day 3 usually.  It was super weird.  I didn't sleep AT ALL the night of day 3 every single time I was on clomid.

It really really sucks.  I hope you get some rest soon.

I took it at bedtime too and I was MEAN B!TCHY and couldn't sleep either.

Good luck - my s/e wore off about 3-4 days past last dose.

I didn't notice any differences, and like the other girls took it right before I went to bed.

Yeah, the funny part is that I do take it right before I go to bed, I think that is why I am waking up so early in the morning!

It was the worse for me the first time I was TTC but not the 2nd time.  I dunno why drugs give you different SE different times you take them...

I am late, but...

I took it before bed the first 3 times ttc#1 and never had any insomnia.  I took it before bed my first round ttc#2 and had horrible insomnia.  I switched to taking it in the morning and drinking chamomile tea before bed.  That helped a lot with the insomnia.  But I was still a miserable, crazy person all 7 cycles of clomid.
