Switching to a convertible question

We bought a Britax Boulevard about a month ago, and have yet to install it.  Well, I just got a new car, and we were going to install it tonight, right before our hour road trip to the beach tomorrow.

Would you wait until dc has gotten used to it before a long trip, or stick to the infant seat until after the vacation?

I switched Benjamin over to his convertible seat (Britax Marathon) the night before our trip to South Florida. He did fine.  I'd go ahead and do it.  Noah was fine when I switched his too. :-)

I switched Graham over to his convertible before a long road trip. He was alright. It was an adjustment for him but it wasn't terrible.

I switched Evie to hers before a long road trip, but I kept her infant seat in the car too.   I thought she could use the infant seat for naps and the Britax to sit upright and look around.   She loved the new carseat and never sat in the infant seat.

I would think that max would be more comfy in the convertible since it is roomier for the trip.

I think my LO really likes his convertible seat over the infant seat.  He is more upright.

We too switched right before a big road trip.  She loved it b/c she sat up higher and could see more. Not a problem for us.
