Success after IF

when did you start classes with your lo(s)?

i am trying to figure out what my schedule is going to look like come late september and would like to take some classes with the twins. we have gymboree locally and another class called music together both have classes for newborn to 6 months.

a big reason i want to take the classes is to meet other moms with kids the same age as the twins, all my friends who are super local have much older kids, and the ones that have kids close in ager are 20-30 minutes away.

Re: when did you start classes with your lo(s)?

  • I started swim lessons 2 weeks ago, and will start something else (gymboree, or something like it) when my older DD goes back to school next month- so the baby will be 7 months.

  • Classes are a good way to meet other moms....do you also have a local /community website or center that organizes moms groups.  That may also be good to have a weekly playdate or two.

  • I am going to start a baby mommy yoga class in the fall when Eli is around 4 months- I would do it now but it doesn't run in the summer. You are in NJ right? If you ever come into the city page me!

  • I might check into what is done at gymboree for that age range and maybe avoid places that have germs (since your babies were slightly before 37wks).  At least for a few months...that doesn't mean you can't find mommy groups.  Meet at the park, etc.

We have tuesdays where movies can be seen with babies and there are some mommy groups who do that.  They do a lot.  I know my local boards has mommy GTG for certain age range kiddos.  Maybe check that out.  Good to meet with people, get out and walk and to talk.  I might just avoid inside places although there isn't TOO much going around, but I know there are some summer colds going around.  I might not want to be in an enclosed space with baby grabbing at toys that aren't santizied all the time.  That is just me though.
