Update on dh's grandmother

She's (somewhat) conscious!! She opened her eyes today and was talking! Dh said that when he got to her room she was talking to his uncle. She was in and out of consciousness the whole time but that she was actually saying dh's name and acknowledging that they were there. And she kept complaining the whole time (which is VERY much like her, so that's a good sign I hope!). The nurse said that she had no clue that she hadn't been conscious before today because she had been talking from the minute she woke up this morning. Apparently they won't do another MRI to see how her brain is doing unless she starts getting bad again or there's an emergency (because MRI's are too expensive). But we're just thankful that she woke up and is talking, even if it's just in short spurts. Any improvement is good!

SO glad she is making progress!!!

 But really, you have to love our medical system. Let's wait til something goes wrong to see what it was cause its to expensive to be proactive! I hate them all!

So glad to hear that she is showing some improvement. Because of her age I am sure it will be a slow recovery but she seems to already be on the right track. I hope to hear more good news soon.

We don't know yet! It takes 7 days for them to give us the police report so we're still waiting to find out what happened.

Thats great news!

Yes, the louder and more frequent the complaints....the chances are the better she is feeling.

I will keep praying for this progress!!!
