Garlic bread made with sourdough OK?

I bought a loaf of sourdough instead of a baguette, what I normally use for garlic bread. Don't really feel like taking both kids out in the hot car again to buy a new loaf.  Do you think it'll taste OK?

Yes, it will taste like sourdough garlic bread. It's delicious.

I think so.  Isn't that how Costco makes theirs?  It definitely has that sourdough twang and it is really good!
