I love it.  It was one of my top choices for our son.  I love the nickname Finn.

This. I don't really object to it, but I think it's hard to give a baby name that he'll have to "live up to," and Griffin really seems to invoke that feeling in people.

The short time I have been posting, this name has been considered a lot recently! Honestly, it reminds me of Family Guy.

I actually had a student this semester named D'Artagnan.  He was a little pipsqueak, but a very talented actor and singer.

 

Griffin is not a big name to me.  I think it's a great name.  It reminds me of Julia's boyfriend/husband from Party of Five.  I prefer Griff as a nn though.

I like it. My DH loved this name, but I couldn't get past the mythological reference, so I just couldn't do it. If that doesn't bother you, I think it is a great name!
