So the post below about EI got me thinking. I'm not worried about DS's language. I think he's doing great in terms of acquiring new words and understanding. But I'd say about less than a quarter are properly pronounced, even allowing for aslight toddler lisps and things. ("wa-er me-on" and "ye-wow" = well enunciated for me; "hock" for snack and "ba" for any number of things, less so...)
So, how clearly does your 24-30m old enunciate and pronounce words?
Re: s/o speech question
DS has been in speech therapy for 6 months. He started with about 10 signs and virtually no words. He now has hundreds of words and uses 3-4 word phrases.
At this age (2 years old), his therapist is looking for about 50% to be intelligble to someone who doesn't know him. I think he meets that on most days, but sometimes it's a bit less.
