Ditto the Robeez- we also got a pair of the Target robeez and they were nice, but not as soft. Eloise also had some Pedipeds- they just ended a sale on their website. They are soft-soled as well, but a little cuter looking.
I have heard great things about shoes by See Kai Run as well- they just had them on babysteals.com this week, but I didn't invest in any for DS because he's growing so fast I was afraid to buy ahead.
Until they are well-established walkers, babies should be in soft-soled shoes, it's best for their development, they don't really need support, just protection.
I take DD to either Nordstrom or Stride-rite to get her feet measured- usually w/o buying anything there.
Oh I LOVE Sean's Robeez. I got a pair on babysteals one day. that's all I really put on him. He's still not really wearing shoes....he will just pull them off.
