Babies: 3 - 6 Months

anyone have a really comfortable couch?

i hate my couch with a passion! it has 2 large cushions and is very deep.  i sink toward the middle and forget being able to bf.  i need to prop 3 pillows behind me. i wish it was as nice to sit on as it is to look at.

i have 3 dogs and with a baby now too, i need something that cleans easily. i find it hard to tell if a couch is comfy just by testing the floor model for a minute.

can you recommend your comfy, user friendly couch? and where you got it...any ikea couch recs?

thanks!

  • Love my lazy boy couch. It is micro fiber but not the kind you probably think of...it feels different...

  • It is TOO comfortable. Stick out tongue

Leather (nice leather, not slouchy), with a few huge pillows and a couple smaller ones. For me, the right pillows are key.

We got this one at RC Willey about three weeks ago. Our old one sounds exactly like yours- the cushions were soooooooooo annoying. Our new one has all attached cushions, so no more straightening, etc. It's also a better height and more 'upright' than our old one. Great price too! It's microfiber and the cushions are really easy to wipe down, we've had a few spills already.

  • We got ours at Raymour & Flannigan. All 3 peices are large, overstuffed, chocolate brown microfiber. It is SO comfy! The sofa is 3 cushions, loveseat is two and the chair. The back cushions are attached, not pillows. It's super easy to clean. Between DH and my dog, and now baby spit-up (and a few splashes of pee from the early days with DS) I would know! When we bought ours, comfort was the most important to me, but we also knew we wanted micro fiber for the ease of cleaning and knew what color we wanted. Then we just went shopping. We went to several stores and spent a good amount of time sitting and laying on couches that fit that description. People laughed at us for laying on them, but if we were going to drop $2000 on a new living room, it was going to be comfortable to lay on!!! Anyway, sitting on the couches for longer than a couple minutes was important, and if you lay on your couch a lot, you should do that too, and screw what other people think. They don't have to sit on it. It's your couch. Have fun shopping! I loved picking out our living room!!!

  • we got our couch from crate & barrel. the name is "lounge 2 piece sectional" (ours is in walnut), you can see it on their website. we absolutely love this couch! it is SO comfortable and super easy to clean. i can't even tell you how many times our LO has spit up on the couch but it still somehow looks brand new (we've had it a year). highly recommended!

  • We have 2 awesome couches from RoomsToGo but I can't find them on the website. They are leather, one of the less expensive leather options, and they are sooo heavenly.

  • Another vote for Lazyboy - our sofa is soooo comfortable.
  • We bought ours at Macy's on a random shopping trip shortly after moving to MN. It's a large sectional by Jonathan Louis, microfiber (spit up wipes up nicely!) with a chaise lounge on one end. I love it. We were actually just taking a look when I sat down in the corner of it and proclaimed i wasn't getting up. That corner is still my spot today. Even when we get company, I'll kick them out of my spot.
