Trouble TTC

HSG results are in...

First, the test was actually not that bad until they inflated the balloon. I thought it was pretty painful during that part.

Second, we were really excited that we got the results back that day. They showed us the screen with the dye entering the uterus and fallopian tubes. The same time that was happening the radiologoist came in and looked at the screen and said I was open and looked great! Yeah! I curbed my enthusium for a while at least until I was out of the stirups.

The one thing I didn't know going into this, and what the dr, had told me, is that some couples do the HSG just to get pregnant. He explained that sometimes mucous clogs the opening and the dye and pressure removes it!! But overall it was a thumbs up....Now we are going to do DH's SA!

  • Yay!  Thats great news, one more thing to check off the list!  Thanks for sharing your experience too!  I will most likely be doing an HSG soon and it's reassuring.

I personally know someone (who is due in September) who got pg after her HSG and she had been trying for almost two years.  Hope to hear your pg after HSG story soon!! GL!!!!
