Where do you go to feed the ducks?

My DH has been storing the ends of bread and other various bread products in our deep freeze so we can take Grace to feed the ducks. I now have enough bread stock-piled to feed the whole duck population of LA. Where are some of your favorite places to take your LO to feed the ducks/geese?

I have to confess that I am secretly afraid of the geese, so it is a total act of love for me to take DD anywhere near them. I'm so afraid one of them is going to bite me!

  • The Kenner Pavilion on Loyola and Vintage is nice.  They have a little pond and fenced in playground equipment that is usually clean.  I also like it b/c its right there on a street so passing cars can see you.  I might be a little neurotic, but after so many crimes have been happening in Lafreniere these past few years, I won't go there unless I have a few other people with me.

  • City Park. I have fond memories of going there to feed the ducks when I was a child.

My DH was bite by a goose so we don't do it often. Haha!

  • I'm not afraid of Lafreneire Park - but then I don't ever go alone - I've gone either with DH or with my cousin.

I also like the Kenner park pp mentioned - we live only a few blocks from there so it's easy and it's usually pretty quiet.  We also raised a duckling a few years ago and released her there so I always feel like we're visiting "our" Duckie.

I can't believe I forgot about City Park! I used to take my cousin to Audubon, but those geese are seriously scary.
