So I went to target hunting that lion walker toy this afternoon. I was perusing the clearance in the toy section and noticed water dropped from the ceiling and almost hit DD. At first I thought she peed through her diaper or something. So I moved my cart and walked over to the next end cap. I bent over to get some stuff out of the way looking for that darn lion. I hear Lily let out this ear piercing shriek that I have never heard her make before and saw this big nasty bug flying away. My poor baby got stung inside target! We filled out an incident report and thankfully she is alright. Serious reactions to bee stings run in my family. I remember rushing my mom to the hospital once or twice because of it. I was so scared I ran over to the first aid aisle looking for benedryl! She is doing fine now. It's as if nothing happened. Kids are amazing.
Re: Stung in Target.
Glad she is okay!
Out of curiosity what was the incident report for? I always thought that was if it was something that happened that could potentially be the fault of the store?
I have no idea. They gave me a copy and an 800 number to call in case I have to take her to the doc.
Awww, I hope she's okay!
I'm betting the store does those if there's an injury at all, even if it's possibly not their fault, just to cover themselves and be sure that their lawyers or whoever know what happened. You never know when a parent or other customer is going to say that the store could have or should have done something about the bee being in there, or whatever. If they had a leak and knew about it, and didn't fix it, or knew that there were bees around, then it could open a whole can of worms; it' easier to do the report at the time of the incident and have the information freshly documented rather than waiting...
