BOB jogging stroller differences

I am debating between the BOB sport utility stroller (fixed wheel) and the revolution (swivel wheel).  It appears the SUS will be what I need but I wanted to get some opinions from people who may have used it.

This will not be our main stroller.  I plan to use this one for actual jogging - there is a forest preserve near me I plan to run in that has gravel trails.  There are a lot of curves on the trail.  I imagine I may also use this for neighborhood walks.

How hard is it really to manuever with the fixed wheel?  The primary use will be jogging and walking (probably mainly on the trails but I also want to make sure it is usable for neighborhood walking).  I will not be using this for the mall or anything.  Any recommendations based on my uses??

Thanks!

  • We got the BOB Revolution.  The front wheel on the Revolution can be fixed or swivel, making it easy for running or walking around town.

  • we got the revolution as well because it can be fixed or swivel. I use it for jogging as well, I loved my single so much I bought the double this time around. Its also our everyday stroller for walks to the park, etc.
  • I'm getting the Bob Revolution.  DH and I were at the local Rec Sports Store and they had both on display.  We loved the Revolution.  Our only concern now is finding a good infant seat that is compatible.  : /

  • Ourfirstbaby: the graco carseats worked really well with the bob/infant adapter
  • We are getting the Revolution.  I've tested out both (a friend has a Rev. and I've looked at and tried the SU in the store), and I like that the Rev. has the swivel or fixed option.

It's tough if you have to actually make any turns.  If you're at an intersection, have to stop and then turn it's a PITA in my opinion.  You have to lift up the back of the stroller and sort of point things in the direction you want.  I have used both while watching friend's kids and I definitely think the Revolution is the better option.

  • Thanks!  I am glad I posted this.  I will go this weekend and check out the Revolution stroller.  I was really sold on the other one before but it sounds like the Revolution is really much better.  Now to decide which color.....
