I went to a new OB/GYN this time and even though we aren't TTC right now he wanted to throw in a cystic fibrosis screen with my other bloodwork. DH and I are at higher risk because we're both white but it still seemed a little out of the blue.  

Did ya'll get cystic fibrosis carrier genetic testing? Is my OB/GYN just test happy? I don't really mind because we've already met our deductibles this year and I guess it can't hurt to know.

    DO IT.  I wish, wish, WISH my Dr had suggested it while we were TTC.

    I had it along with my genetic testing from the RE.  I think I would want to be prepared and know if I'm a carrier for genetic diseases.

    We had talked about it before but are just now going to do it.  I think it's a great thing to be proactive on.
