I just found out that I have slightly low progesterone levels. They were 7.9 9 dpo. My ob thinks these are fine and isn't going to supplement. Most everything I've read and from girls on the ttc boards have been supplemented with anything less than 10. Just wondering if anyone got pg with a history of lower levels. I'm thinking about getting a second opinion. I've also already had one m/c. I don't want another.

Re: Anyone have low progesterone before pg?
My P4 was only 2.34 at my first beta at 14dpo, I was already on supps twice a day. I'm now 8 weeks.
It's best to supplement, but it's possible to get pregnant without. If you're not comfortable with your Dr's plans, you should find a new Dr. I'd suggest an RE after a year of trying.

I didn't have a level drawn before I got my BFP but from what I know about P4 levels it isn't expected to be above 10 until AFTER a BFP or conception. However if you look at my levels you will see they are still significantly low even with supplementation from 5w5d to 12w. As far as we know we have a healthy baby in there from last week's NT scan.

At my confirmation appointment my P4 level was 12.4, my dr. wants to see it at 20 for pregnancy, I am on prometrium. I would get a second opinion if you are not 100% comfortable with your Dr's advise.
With my first pregnancy my progesterone level was 8, so I took progesterone supplements until about 14-16 weeks. The rest of the pregnancy was healthy and my DD is now a healthy toddler!
With this pregnancy, I am only 4 weeks but my progesterone came back at 4. So I am back on 200mg of Prometrium. My HCG is going up, so I am hoping everything will work out.
ETA: Sorry, I just realized that you were talking about progesterone levels prior to getting pregnant. My response above is referring to my progesterone levels after BFP. The first pregnancy my levels were taken around 6 weeks, second pregnancy they were taken around 4 weeks. Sorry for the confusion!
