Those about to try this method, consider these items to make your life a little bit easier. Short answer.......Ergo, Swiffer Wet Mop with the orange antibacterial cleaner, flushable wet wipes, 40 pairs of undies like the manual suggests, and wood flooring.
And if you want my long winded comments, explanations.....
1) If you have a newborn/young baby that nurses but doesn't love hanging out in the bouncey/swing as often as participating in this method would require while training your toddler.......ERGO!! My 8wk old has been in it all morning and he's juuuust big enough now to nurse in it comfortably (he is able to turn his head to help find the boob now lol). This was SO great as I could grab DD and rush to the potty w/o jolting him at all. It helps that my son looooves the Ergo and also can sleep thru the bustle of a regular day around here, too. Seriously, 3 HOURS in this thing and he's happy and my body is not sore at all.
2) Swiffer Wet Mop, the antibacterial cleaner (it's orange), and extra pads. I actually soak up the excess first with an old towel and then mop to make sure the floor is really getting clean. Confession.....I don't change the pad each time....that just seems crazy right now. But there is so little pee residue after I've toweled up the excess it seems wasteful otherwise. ::shrugs:: I'll steam mop at the end of the day. Now if/when there's poop on the floor.....that's a different story!! lol
3) Flushable wet wipes next to the toilet. Once I have DD on the potty and she's done peeing her legs are always wet from half missing/missing entirely so I wipe her legs down with one or two. Toilet paper seems to just crumble/ball up against her legs when I tried that. I use TP for actual wiping though to get her used to that.
4) The 3DPT manual suggests 40 pairs of undies and I'm going to have to say I think she's on to something. We're only 3 hrs into this and have gone thru 15 changes. I'm hopeful this decreases as time moves on but the important/helpful thing this is to be able to get thru one full day w/o having to do laundry. I am nervous I won't have enough (I only have 15more) so I'm about to wash the dirties right now Like I have time for this crap, right?!!
5) Can't change it now I'm sure but WOOD FLOORS!! lol I can.not.imagine doing this with carpet. Seriously 15 puddles so far......and all of it is gone and sanitized and no smell will linger. I just don't see how the outcome would be similar with even the best cleaning methods for carpet.....

I wouldn't even attempt it. There are so many accidents. More time would be spent cleaning up than doing anything else.
And that is why I am not PT DS1 right now. There is carpet everywhere in this stupid house and I can't rip it up because we rent. No way the landlord would allow that.
