I love this name, but I am worried it sounds too much like a dogs name. What do you think? Do you think it would be cruel to name my boy with a name commonly used for dogs?
Baxter is an old occupational name that oddly enough means 'female baker'. For me, I associate it with the black and white film my mom made me sit through. I can see the appeal with it's closeness to Dexter, but I can't shake the negative connection I have. Even after that, it makes me think of backstabber.

Yep! Thinking of a dog in pajamas with head-gear on right at this very moment. hehe
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.
