May be looking for OB in Beaufort soon !

I am due in September, however my husband may be starting a job in Beaufort which means moving very close to our due date. Even though we're not positive about this change, I would feel better looking for an OB and finding out where I could possibly be delivering.

I hate this falls so close to our due date, but we have to do what's best financially! I pray things work out quickly!

Sadly, I don't live in Beaufort anymore, (moved to Charlotte last year for my husband's job) but I can not say enough wonderful things about my Beaufort OB, Dr Glenn Werner. At the time he was in practice by himself, but since has had two other docs join him, Dr Randy Royal and Joann Czankey (think I am misspelling that) and I have heard great things about them also. Since it is a smaller practice you get lots of personal attention. My husband really liked Dr Werner also, he really takes the time to answer all your questions and never makes you feel stupid for asking them. I had an induction with my son (a week late) and it went very smoothly, at one point Dr Werner was the one getting me ice chips and taking pictures! The hospital in Beaufort is Beaufort Memorial, had a great experience there. Only problem is that the Naval hospital does not deliever babies anymore so every once in a while (seems to be about 9 months after a squadron has come back!) the maternity ward gets full. I actually was scheduled to be induced two days before but they called me at midnight to say not to come in , they were full. But when I went in there were only 4 of us in L and D the whole day and the nurses were very attentive and friendly. If you do end up in Beaufort I hope you have as great of an experience as I did. I live out in Bluffton and my OB Dr is Dr. Joanne Price (843-815-5066) and she is just amazing. I'm not sure if she delivers in Beaufort but I know she has privleges on Hilton Head Island and in Savannah.

She delivered our first baby back in March 2009 and she is just fantastic!

FYI the receptionist is new and they are currently sharing an office in Bluffton before they move to their new office space off of 170 so if she's a little off with you don't worry she's like that with everyone - but the nurses and Dr Price are great so thats really what matters!!!

Dr. Price delivered my son and I SERIOUSY LOVE HER!  I'm super excited to read that she has privledges in Savannah too because I hope to deliver there next time because I'm VERY interested in a VBAC.  I honestly can not say enough good things about Dr. Price though.  I had a very traumatic birth and she made me feel so calm throughout the entire thing.

Haha that is funny- I have seen Dr. Price twice and I dont care for her (but I have friends who do.)  I love Dr. Blessit in Bluffton!  She is with the Bon Sain group.  Also, if you need any formula, cereal, or baby food...I just made a post about it.    GL!!
