I like Kye or Ky, with either spelling. For some reason, when I see Kai, I read Koi. I do not like the name Hunter, personally.

Is that the short name for the name Michai...nms either way.  Hunter was big about 10 years ago and nms either but he is your child,right? Go with what you like!

I like both names, but I think they would be better separate.  When I hear Kai (which I love, love, love) I think exotic- Hawaiian, Asian, etc.  And when I hear Hunter, I think very woodland-sy.  I love it to though and several friends have named their sons that!  GL!

I was thinking this too. The two names are just very different styles. I'm not really a fan of either name, and I really don't think they sound that great together. Sorry.

I love the name Kai. I have a wonderful friend with this name. So I have good associations. Hunter....not so much

i'm definitely keeping kai as the first name, i'm totally willing to let hunter go though..
