Umbrella Stroller Recs?

Stella and I went out of town this weekend so I borrowed my friends umbrella stroller since we don't have one.  OK...her's sucked a$$!  It was a total piece of junk and made walking around horribly uncomfortable for me. Doesn't help I'm super prego and my back is a wreck.  Anyway, I think I just need to go ahead and buy a good one for outings when we don't need Stella's big one.  Which one do you have?

  • City Select Micro (or Mini, if you want to spend a bit more for a taller sunshade and more recline)

They turn on a dream, have a carseat attachment, and fold like a mo'fo. check out youtube for demos.

  • We have a McClaren quest and love it!!! We really broke it in when we were in Disney. Katie practically lived in that thing and was very comfortable.

  • we have a quicksilver and love it.
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • It was so hard for me to find an umbrella stroller to use when we travel- we have a Bugaboo and everything compared to that sucks, but we ended up with a Chicco Liteway and I LOVE it- its turns good, reclines flat, and has a big sunshade. It also doesnt look like those doll stroller that people have- I HATE those cheapy looking umbrealla strollers.

Our Journey from two to three! 3 IUI's, 2 IVF's, decided to move to foster/adopt. 12/24/2009 Baby C born, 2/1/2010 placed with us, 5/17/2011 Adoption final- we are finally a forever family! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • I love my Maclaren Volo for quick trips
  • Maclaren Volo-- we like it. It's *super* light, which is good for pg ladies. However, this means you can't hang much from the back of it. And if you do have something hanging from the back, even something light like a purse, and you take your LO out of it without taking the stuff off first, the stroller tips over backwards from the weight of the stuff. I think it weighs less than 9 lbs.

  • I have a Zooper Twist and am really pleased with it.  It is heavier (and doesn't turn as easily with one hand) than the quest but otherwise I think it is much better.  And I got it for like $75 cheaper than the quest.  It has tall handles and it's canopy is enormous and I like that it has a one hand full recline.  It also comes with a good sunshade and rain cover.  I have an uppa vista also which I love but haven't used it since I got the twist, it's just so much easier.

  • I have both a silver cross pop and a city mini and I LOVE the city mini, Not really an umbrella, but way smaller, and easier to manuever than the pop (which is similar to the maclaren volo)
