What kind of table food are you feeding your 8-9 month olds? The doctor said mashed potatoes, gb, and "stuff like that." Just needed some other ideas on what is good to eat at this age. Thanks!
I give her whatever I'm eating. This weekend she had mashed potatoes, spaghetti, ricotta cheese, bread, avocado, and more. I just make sure to give her small pieces and she does just fine.
Let's see this weekend... pancakes, cantelope, blueberries, watermelon, cucumbers, lettuce, carrots, brocolli, chicken (does not like but we keep offering tastes), mini bagel with rice cheese, popcycle, plain pasta, oatmeal with pureed blueberries, and some puffs...
what we are eating minus dairy products (allergy)... he loves fruits and veggies and cantelope and brocolli are the current faves.

Whatever I am eating. I am soy/dairy free, so nothing I eat is too exciting, anyway. I gave her some shredded steak yesterday. Today I gave her some steamed carrot sticks. I've given her cubed potatoes (litte mashed). Blueberries, peach chunk (rolled in crushed cereal so it wasn't too slimy), banana chunks, grilled chicken (shredded from my plate) and pieces of watermelon. We've also cut up pasta.

Wow, my poor LO is so behind If you give what you're eating, what do you do about things like added salt or sugar? I feel like our cooking is more complex than he can eat right now.
Also, are you all still introducing new foods several days apart?

He LOVES table food so he's had a lot compared to what my first had had by this age (but I've also eased up 2x around too)
Fruits: blueberries, canteloupe, watermelon, peaches, plums, bananas, mangos. Pretty much any and every soft fruit diced up.
Veggies: peas (his favorite), broccoli, avocado, green beans
Dairy/Proteins: egg yolks, chicken, meatballs, turkey, cheeseburgers!, cheese
Carbs: pasta (ditalini is perfect), toast, crackers, cereal (cheerios, kix), sweet potatoes, regular potatoes
