WDYT about Lincoln as a first name, and which way would you spell the nn? Linc or Link?

Lincoln is nms, but it isn't bad.

I don't think I would call him Linc (or spell it Linc/Link) though.

I like Lincoln, the only one I know everyone just calls him Lincoln, not sure I like Linc/Link.

I really like Lincoln (spelled that way). I have a co-worker that named his son, Lincoln Joseph, so they use LJ as the nickname, which I think is cute.

I would spell the nn Linc if you use one. Link doesn't look like a name at all.

A good friend of the family named their son Lincoln.  He is 21 now!  I have always LOVED the name.  They do his nn Linc.

I love Lincoln, DH vetoed it. I would probably go with Linc since it's actually in the spelling but either spelling would be good. At least with Linc, you could see it as still a name where Link is an actual word. KWIM?

I love it.  I would spell the nn Link but wouldn't use it.  I like the full name much better.

Ironically, this is a very common Southern name. I've seen boys with nn both Linc and Link.

I don't like or dislike the name Lincoln. I would not use a nn, but if you have to, would spell it Linc.

A friend of mine was considering this--I like it! And I would totally go with Link as a NN for the Legend of Zelda character.  Because I'm a nerd.

Me too! That's where DH and I first heard the name. I would have never thought of that name otherwise. I liked it as soon as I heard it.

BTW, the character from the show was SO hot!!! So was his brother Scofield!!  One of the best shows ever!!

Yes, I think I agree! I love the nn, so we will definitely use it sometimes.

I love Lincoln. Absolutely love it.   It's one of my fantasy twin names  - Atticus & Lincoln.

My son's name is Lincoln. And of course, I really love the name. We actually call him "log", weird i know. It started off as a joke "lincoln log" and it kind of stuck.

We also call him Linc.
