Anyone have Inglesina fast chairs?

This?

We were planning to buy highchairs right now but are dreading 2 full size chairs  in a house already full of 4 kids' worth of stuff, and I don't really like the options available in the booster style, or the idea of using up 2 of our table chairs and having to drag them away from the table to feed the girls.  This Inglesina one is intriguing, but our girls are only 6 months old, need assistance when sitting, and I'm wondering if they'd be comfortable in these.

  • I used something similar (different brand) as an extra seat for my nephew. In my experience, it's nice that it doesn't use up a normal chair, but it's much messier than one with a tray. The baby doesn't sit quite as close to the table as they do the tray in a normal high chair. So, you have a lot more food ending up on the floor and in their lap. Plus, the handles that clip onto the table get kind of grimy unless you take the whole chair on and off all the time to clean the table, etc. I actually ended up tossing the one I had. Sorry if that's kind of a negative review :( it is a super cute chair, though :). I ended up buying the same full-size high chair I already had for $20 on CL, so they match and they coordinate with my dining area too. They definitely take up space, but it's practical to have the removable tray, etc for crazy mealtime three times a day :)

  • Thanks!  Don't mind the negative feedback, it definitely helps!  I actually was concerned about the food in lap issue too.  I just couldn't help looking at that cute, little seat and thinking how nice it would be to use!  We're also looking at the Fisher-Price rainforest highchairs so maybe we'll go with those... they look fun for the girls at least ; )

  • I do and I love it (so does DH)!  We use it more when we go out, DH is a true germophobe and hates to have our LO in a restaurant's nasty highchair.  A few of the mom's on Parenting after 35 bought it also and love it as well.  It's just so easy to use, carry and wash.  It has a super strong feel to it and the base has a hard surface under the cushion to prevent your LO from "drooping" through.  One thing though, double check the "lip" on your table as you will not be able to install it if it's too long.  Also, I paid A LOT less than what your link has it for, if I recall it was around $30.00 from Albee Baby (it was on sale plus I got free shipping with a coupon).   Good luck with whatever you choose.  :o)

  • we have the Phil & Teds Me Too chairs that are similar- but better b/c they fold flat and are super easy to take places (restaurants, other homes, etc).

we have only had maybe 2 x's where they didn't fit on a table somewhere - we LOVE them. Almost all my friends have bought them since they saw us using it with Griffin. Now we have 2 for the twins.

We don't use them at home - we use high chairs- but they'd work great at home, too.... just keep in mind if you have them at the table- everything needs to be out of their reach - - this is why we prefer to use high chairs - even in our tiny home - b/c we don't want to have to worry about what they can grab on the table while we are eating.
