My family names stink

I recently became super into naming out future baby after and grandparent of great greandparent but I don't like their names....

Augusta

Francis

Maria

George

Clyde

Adolf

Oh well I guess this naming impulse will pass too...

It's hard sometimes!!!  DS's #1 and #2 both have family names (John Mason, John after DH and his dad - Andrew Grant, Grant after my dad).  DS #3 is almost here and we want him to have a family name as well.  At least we still have David and William we can use, but DH is INSISTING on naming after his grandpa.  Leslie.  And not even using it as a MN or calling him something else.

This is a fairly new impulse... that list doesn't even include DH's family. I will look for middle names though- thats smart!!!

i like them, too!  Francis is cute nn Frankie or make it fem and go for Frances or Francine.  Dorothy is sweet and classic- nn dottie, or dorrie!  I love 'em.  GL!

I think Maria is really pretty.  If you aren't sold on any of them, but still want to use one, why don't you use one for a middle name?  It still pays a tribute!

Dorothy is nice (but I loooove the Wizard of Oz).  Maria is pretty, too.  I like George and Clyde for boys!
