Help me brainstorm re:Zoo theme party

So, I'm a bit late on starting to plan a 1st b-day party for DD. We are only having family, but I want it to be cute and fun.

Here is the invite I've created to match the decorations. Anyone have other ideas?

 Where did u do the invite??

I was thinking of trying my own cake/cupcakes. I found a template for zoo cupcakes but I was going to try and model them after the ones in the decorations.

Those cupcakes are so cute! I may use those patterns to make cutouts from scrapbook paper for decorations as well. 

For the invite I created it in Publisher and then saved it as a jpeg and am printing out as photos for invites. If you'd like me to make you one in the blue theme just send me a PM and I'd be glad to do it!

What about little animal crackers as one of the snacks/foods you serve? Or, around here we have little petting zoos that will come to your house. DD went to a party like that and loved petting and watching the different animals.

Animal crackers are a great idea! I never would have thought of that :-)
