I have a reunion tomorrow and am wearing a casual black dress that also has nude and white in it. I have a gorgeous nude purse, but the nude shoes I have are way too dressy for the dress. Would black strappy shoes be ok with the dress an nude purse or is that a no-no? I usually would never mix black and brown' but thought that maybe nude could be different and maybe ok since both colors are in the dress? I really don't want to go hunt for a pair of shoes. I could just use a black purse as a backuop, but my nude one is pretty cute. I thought I'd ask you guys here, since you know all and everything.

I would never mix a brown and a black but I don't consider nude a brown at all so I would totally do it. It sounds like the shoes and bag are cohesive with the dress and no need for bag/shoes to be matchy matchy in my book either!

Thanks!  That was what I was thinking, but I was second guessing myself.  I agree about the matchy-matchy shoes and purse too.  I usually avoid that.
