Question: Are you pronouncing this Zo-ee or just Zo? (I've recently learned there is considerable debate on this: )
I had a foster cat we named Zoie and I loved it for her; in fact, I really, really like the name, even for children, though I don't think I would ever use it for my own child. I think enough children are given the name, however, that few people are going to think it's a pet's name--think Max, the most popular name for male dogs and also a very popular baby name.
I like Zoe a lot, and Jack is one of my baby names, so i think that is great! but yeah, I can think of a few Zoe and Jack dogs that I have met. Oh well, we cant let that stop us, unless its OUR Dog or Cat! :-)

Zo-ee. That was another one of my concerns. I was hoping that was obvious.
I love the name. I think the pronunciation will be a non-issue since it such a popular name (#17 for 2009 and I bet it is much higher for 2010). I prefer the spelling Zoe over Zoey because Zoey makes me think of Joey. Everywhere around me, baby girls are given the name Zoe/Zoey lately.
Re: Zoe
We named our cat Zoe, so to me it's a pet name.
It is a cute name though and goes well with Jack.

I love it! I was going to name my child Zoey if I had a girl, but just found out I am having a boy.
I actually know of 2 people that named their babies Zoey. Hope that helps
I definitely think it sounds good with Jack. And I do know a few little girls with the name Zoe.
That said, I had a rabbit named Zoe.
But I still love it!

I love this name and I think it goes great with Jack.
As for the pet name comment..I think Zoe & Jack are equally as popular in the pet name category.
This exactly. I had a rabbit named Zoe, too! Crazy.
This!
whoops! hiccup!
I like Zoe...it has zing. I think, even though the spelling is horrendous to me, that the actress, Zooey Deschanel is bringing around again.
And it's a legitimate name - means Life in Greek. It broke the top 50 last year, but I don't know anyone by that name in my area.
Also - I thought these were good posts on human names/pet names....

This.
It's also what DH is naming our daughter, but I think we may put that dohicky above the e to make it sound long. LOL Good luck!
