Ella seems to be feeling well again and doesn't even need her Motrin or Tylenol.  Her Hand, Foot, Mouth thing started last Sat.  Adam has a softball game I want to go watch tomorrow and there are other toddlers running around.

Would you be pissed if you were one of those parents with a toddler since I'm not sure if it's still contagious or not?

When was the last time she had a fever?  I would wait at least 24 hours fever free before bringing her out around others.  Could you call your pedi to see if they think she's contagious based on what they saw when they saw her?  I think I would be kind of ticked if I was one of the parents, unless you can assure me that she's not contagious.

She hasn't had a temp since Sunday.

She could actually be contagious still.  HFaM/Coxsackie/etc are most contagious during the first week - which she's still in, and can continue to be contagious beyond that.

So yeah, if I knew a kid was only 5/6 days out with HFaM and brought their kiddo to play with other kiddos I'd be kinda ticked... kids are kinda gross with all their slobber, nose wiping, fingers in mouth, etc.  Not cool!

I just read on our pediatrician's website that after the fever is gone, they're okay to go back to school or daycare, so I would assume that means that they wouldn't still be contagious.  It also says the rash is not contagious.

I would call your pedi and ask what they think.  If they say she should be okay to not pass it on then I'd go because at least then you can say "My pediatrician told me it was okay...she's been cleared by her doc to go around other kids."
