We got a *gasp* handmedown crib (bought a new mattress) from our old neighbors. I checked and it's recall free and was pretty pricey new (hate to say it but a lot of the recalled cribs are the cheaper ones.)
It's awesome because it was free and I love that it has a storage drawer.
It does not convert into a toddler bed or anything else, but that's fine because I got a toddler bed for $35 off CL.
I got the bonavita peyton crib, but you know what? I'm starting to think I never should have done it. We're using the chicco play yard bassinet feature now in our room, and I have a feeling that could last a long time (removing the bassinet when she's older). I've heard cribs are a waste of $$ and I think it might be true.
That said, my crib is really nice and sturdy, and I'm sure it'll last for at least two or three kids. If and when I actually start using it!

We got a Munire Essex crib that converts to a toddler bed. It was a gift from the ILs and honestly if I had it to do again I wouldn't get it. My parents got an Ikea crib for like $100 brand new and it converts to a toddler bed. There is no difference except the ikea is much plainer. We are now moving DS up to a big bed and we ended up getting a queen mattress set. The crib converts to a full bed. It's going to go in our guest room. If you are buying the crib yourself I'd go with something like the Ikea crib unless you KNOW you are going to use the conversion (which a lot of times you have to buy a special kit to convert it for more money).
We got the Land of Nod Jenny Lind in Antique White - it's not sold anymore but I found it on CL for $90. I believe it's a drop-side, but we're locking it so it doesn't drop. I knew I liked the Jenny Lind style and it's all wood. I am not 100% certain, but I believe LoN used their own non-toxic paint and finish for it...
We have ikea cribs for both our kids. We do alot of bedsharing, so spending a fortune on cribs just didn't seem necessary. We love the cribs! They are sturdy, low profile and very cute!

We have the Babys Dream Ocean. It wasn't cheap but DD sleeps in there for naps and at night, and it is solid wood with a nontoxic finish. I picked this one because it converts to a toddler bed, then a twin bed. I also looked at ikea cribs but I didn't like how low they were, and some of them are made with particle board which off-gasses formaldehyde so you have to be careful. Another option we considered was getting an unfinished crib, so it would be solid wood and we could choose the stain/paint.
We have the IKEA gulliver crib. It's only $99, it converts to a toddler bed, it takes up less real estate in the room than a regular crib, it's sturdy, fits a regular mattress and I think looks clean and modern and cute in her nursery.
This is what it looks like, however we don't have the breathable bumper on it any more.
