I just got the results of my 3rd beta and it didn't quite double (results are in my siggy.) I know that doubling time increases, but I'm not sure at what DPO.
I didn't speak to my usual nurse, but the one I spoke to said it was "fine." I dunno, she just wasn't very reassuring.
I'm going in on Monday for another beta and an ultrasound so I'll know more then, but I just thought I'd reach out to you ladies to see your experiences. I'd like to be able to prepare myself as best I can either way.
Re: What were your beta levels?
Here is a beta chart: https://www.betabase.info/showBasicChart.php?type=Single
Beta doubling time calculator: https://www.obfocus.com/calculators/betahCG.htm
Beta hCG levels usually double approximately every 2 days for the first four weeks of pregnancy [1]. As pregnancy progresses the doubling time increases. By 6 to 7 weeks gestation beta hCG levels may take as long as 3 1/2 days to double [2,3]. The beta hCG may take more than 2 to 3 days to double in 15% of normal intrauterine pregnancies. About 17% of ectopic pregnancies have normal doubling times. You can use the calculator above to calculate the doubling time of two beta hCG samples by entering the date of the blood test and the corresponding beta hCG value for that day. If the hCG level is declining the the half life of the hormone will be calculated.
